What is the electrical certificate (CIE) and when do I need it?

The CIE (Certificado de Instalación Eléctrica, often called 'boletín') is the installation's official document. It is used for commissioning, new supplies, power increases or legalisation when required. For an account-holder change, first confirm what documents the supplier or grid operator requests. Electricista BCN issues, signs and processes it when required.

Do you work in my town?

Can you install an EV charger in a communal garage?

Yes. In Catalonia, you must send the technical project to the community president or administrator thirty days in advance; during that period the community may propose a reasonable alternative. We assess the route, carry out the installation and, when required, the company issues, signs and manages the CIE.
